Competitive Gymnastics and Cheerleading Teams in Helena

In addition to a strong recreation program, Helena Athletic Club fields competitive gymnastics and cheerleading teams. We are proud of our athlete’s success and strive to continue to be top teams in Montana and the region. If you are interested in joining one of our competitive teams, stop by the office for more information on placements and all-around details. Placements are made based on ability and experience.

Mustangs Cheerleading and Small Fry Cheerleading are open for registration now!

Mustangs practices begin June 15th with enrollment open until mid-August.
Cheer-Only Open Gym select Thursdays 7-8 p.m., FREE for current and prospective cheerleaders.

Tryouts and final placements, including placement for girls ages 5-7 years old, will be end of summer.
Small Fry practices begin August 17th for girls entering 3rd-8th grades.
Small Fry teams cheer at Small Fry Football games September to mid-October.

Mustangs Cheerleading is a travelling, competitive program. Small Fry Cheerleading is an in-town sideline cheer team that runs about 10 weeks, mid-August to mid-October.
Fundraising is available for both: July is a “Fill Your Freezer” Raffle and August is the Elliott’s Cookie Dough Fundraiser. Both are optional.

Two Mustangs teams are available for all skill levels during summer:

Rubies – ages 8-10 – Mondays 5-6 p.m.

Diamonds – ages 11-14 – Mondays and Wednesdays 5:45-7 p.m.

Capital City Gymnastics

Capital City Gymnastics is our competitive gymnastics team representing many age groups in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Levels 3–10 throughout the state of Montana and around the Northwest. CCG competes December–April.

Mustangs Cheerleading

Mustangs Cheerleading is made up of 3 teams grouped by age and skill level, with 60 athletes ages 5-18 years. Boys and girls compete in USASF sanctioned competitions December-April around the state and Northwest.
